Happy Birthday to Bryson!
Customer service was and still is the cornerstone of everything we do.
As we celebrate 50 years in business, we reflect on our journey from a small office in Wallington to leading the UK construction supply industry.
Humble Beginnings
Starting in a small office in Wallington, Surrey, in January 1974, Bryson was the vision of Brian Reiner who aimed to elevate the standard of fixings delivery within the construction industry.Growth & Expansion
Mark and Graham, Brian’s sons, joined the business, moving the premises to Coulsdon in 1980—a site that remains Bryson’s headquarters today. This strategic shift allowed us to expand our reach into London and, eventually, offer nationwide next-day delivery.

Changing The Industry
Our history is dotted with innovation, such as being at the forefront of introducing cordless power tool technology in the UK, establishing distributorships with renowned brands like Makita and Panasonic. Our creation of Swiftguard Temporary Protection products was another highlight and continues to be a top seller.
Supporting Construction
2005 marked a pivotal year with a strategic decision to focus solely on management contractors within construction, leading to a tenfold increase in revenue. The opening of the 40,000 sqft Gatwick Central Distribution Centre in 2017 provided the necessary space to support this growth, helping us meet needs in the industry like never before.Putting Customers First
In 2019, Bryson invested in a new system to enhance customer service capabilities and expand the BrysonBase™ e-Procurement portal. This platform has been so well received that it now accounts for 50% of Bryson's revenue.
