Bryson has been awarded a new multi-year contract to supply personal protective equipment (PPE) and essential site consumables to Laing O'Rourke projects across the UK.
Laing O'Rourke, the UK's largest privately owned engineering and construction company delivers vital buildings and infrastructure across the UK, Middle East and Australia. The company operates a model built on digital design, advanced manufacturing, and has an integrated supply chain of specialist in-house businesses. Their purpose is to push the boundaries of what’s possible in service of humanity with the values of care, integrity and courage.
Under this new multi-year agreement, Bryson will supply and manage a comprehensive range of PPE, workwear, and site consumables across all Laing O'Rourke projects.
Bryson was chosen due to its simple "smarter, faster, greener" ordering process and mutual objectives of prioritising exceptional delivery and customer service, utilising digital transformation tools to streamline workflows, and delivering carbon reduction and social value across the local communities they work in. Key differentiators include Bryson's innovative Greener reporting portal for transparent carbon emissions tracking, commitment to creating new jobs and training opportunities, and establishment of a dedicated social value fund.
As the construction industry faces increasing pressure to demonstrate tangible sustainability outcomes and social impact, this partnership sets a new benchmark for procurement practices that deliver measurable value beyond traditional service metrics.
This collaboration is set to deliver:
- Improved delivery capacity and streamlined ordering to support faster project delivery and smarter procurement throughout the contract.
- Proactive account management, product innovation, and tailored solutions across Laing O'Rourke's diverse business units.
- Enhanced carbon measurement through Bryson's Greener reporting portal, enabling transparent tracking of emissions data and data-driven sustainability decisions.
- Creation of new jobs and training opportunities, plus a dedicated social value fund to deliver measurable impact in local communities.
Rodney Fear, Bryson Business Development Director said: "We're excited to partner with Laing O'Rourke as one of their preferred PPE and Site Consumables suppliers. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to smarter, faster, greener solutions and supports our vision to be the sustainable supplier of choice for our customers. By combining Bryson's expertise in supply chain innovation with Laing O'Rourke's vision for excellence, we're setting a new standard for efficiency and sustainability in construction."
Mark Fowler, Laing O'Rourke Procurement Lead commented: "Both our organisations are committed to reducing carbon emissions and one of the factors that drew us to working with Bryson was their commitment to measuring and reporting on carbon emissions from their operations through their innovative Greener reporting portal. They have also committed to support our social value goals through the creation of new jobs and training opportunities and the creation of a social value fund. Importantly, Bryson's streamlined and easy to use ordering service will mean our teams can concentrate on delivering our projects across the UK with certainty."
Bryson was selected following a rigorous procurement process that evaluated suppliers across multiple criteria including operational capability, sustainability credentials, social value commitments, and digital innovation. The award of this multi-year contract reflects Bryson's demonstrated ability to deliver measurable value across all these areas, positioning both organisations for long-term success in delivering projects that benefit communities across the UK.
